One of the most ambitious children’s activities ever to be conducted locally is the miniature of “The Romance of a People,” to be stage in the Eastside High School auditorium on Wednesday evening, April 11, and in which 250 Jewish boys and girls under sixteen years of age will participate.

The pageant will be held under the auspices of the local post of the Jewish War Veterans of the United States. It was written and directed by Miss Beatrice Mann, assisted by Miss Helen Hamburger and Miss Fanny Midler. The music arrangement and accompaniment is the work of Miss Estelle Parnas of New York City.

The Jewish War Veterans committee in charge of the spectacle includes I. S. Epstein, general chairman; Joseph S. Goodman, business executive; Mrs. Lillian Brett, secretary; Mr. and Mrs. Sydney V. Levine, publicity; Mrs. Joseph Eillenberg, scenery; Mrs. Frances Epstein and Mrs. Shirley Rubenstein, costume directors.
