Leading non-Jewish citizens, officials and ministers are supporting “The Miniature Romance of the People” which will be enacted here tomorrow night by 250 children in the Eastside High School under the sponsorship of the Jewish War Veterans of America, Reuben Kaufman Post No. 36.

They include Mayor John V. Hinchliffe, William L. Dill, John R. Wilson, president of the Chamber of Commerce; Robert J. McDermott, the Rev. John F. Mulligan, the Rev. Ernest A. Elwell and the Rev. Louis R. Binder. The Jewish supporters include Harry B. Haines, publisher Abe J. Greene, editor; Nathan Rabinowitz, state commander of the Jewish War Veterans of New Jersey; Rabbi Max Raisin, Rabbi Reuben Kaufman, Albert M. Dorfman, commander of the local post; Mrs. Jeanette W. Levine, president of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the local post.

Boys and girls between the ages of four to sixteen are participating in the presentation of the pageant portraying the outstanding parts of the Old Testament. The production was written and directed by Beatrice Mann. She is assisted by Helen Hamburger and Fanny Midler. The music arrangement and accompaniment is the work of Estelle Parnas of New York City.

I Samuel Epstein heads the committee in charge. He is assisted by Joseph S. Goodman, Mrs. Lillian Brett, Mrs. Yette S. Levine, Sidney V. Levine, Joseph Eilenberg, Mrs. Frances Epstein and Mrs. Shirley Rubenstein.
