Manifestations of fascism on Columbia campus will be opposed “vigorously and relentlessly,” according to James A. Wechsler, editor-in-chief of Spectator, Columbia student publication.

In regard to the Nazi group responsible for the appearance of swastikas on the campus and for other disturbances there, he declared that “we will oppose it, and expose it whenever circumstances permit. We think we will have the assistance of a vast majority of students in fighting it.”
