Rabbi Jacob Freedman of Temple Beth El, Chelsea, announced that April will be “Jewish youth month” not only within the Temple but throughout the city. Arrangements have been made with the cooperation of the local Y. M. and Y. W. H. A. and the Beth El Junior Congregation, with Philip Milman, Alice Burke and Jack Locke as the respective president.

It is planned to have all Chelsea Jewish youth organizations participate in two special Friday evening services arranged for that purpose and then, at the end of the month, to conclude with a conference of representatives of these organizations.

This conference, the first of its nature ever to be called in the community, will have as its aim the amalgamation of Jewish youth activities and the more intimate participation of the youths and their societies in Jewish religious and communal life. Harry Cushing has been appointed chairman of the arrangements committee to assist Rabbi Freedman in this work.
