Under the heading “Renewed Anti-German Jewish Propaganda,” the Voelkischer Beobachter, leading Nazi newspaper, reported the large attendance in London synagogues on “Germany Jewry’s Day” last Sunday, and the appeals for funds for the British Central Relief Drive.
The Beobachter declared that the “atrocity propaganda” of the rabbis and the Anglo-Jewish leaders was calculated to strengthen the boycott against German-made goods in England.
The paper condemned particularly the speech made by Herbert Morrison, Laborite leader and chairman of the London County Council, who spoke before the Jewish Representative Body urging all Englishmen, Jews and non-Jews, to boycott German goods as a matter of duty.
