Jacob Epstein, world famous sculptor, sailed for the United States yesterday on the S.S. Majestic. Epstein has been the center of a number of controversies involving his work.

A furor was created in Great Britain by Epstein’s sculpture in the memorial for the English writer W. H. Hudson, author of “Green Mansions.” For weeks London newspapers were filled with praise and condemnation of the work and the subject was discussed in Parliament.
