In the largest meeting held in the history of the local Jewish community, Dallas contributed $12,000 to the United Jewish Appeal in response to a stirring appeal by local officers and Rabbi Ferdinand Isserman of St. Louis, who described the tragic situation of German Jewry which he had observed at first hard.
Fort Worth went over the top in its fund raising effort for German Jewish relief when $8,000was subscribed at a huge mass meeting addressed by Rabbi Isserman. Officers of the Fort Worth campaign will continue with their drive in an effort to obtain $10,000 the largest quota accepted in many years.
