Sam Jaffe, who created the part of Kringelein in the stage version of “Grand Hotel,” has been signed by Samuel Goldwyn for a featured role in “Barbary Coast.” In this production Gloria Swanson will be co-starred with Gary cooper under the Direction of William Wellman Dwight Taylor and Leonard Praskins are writing the screen play based on Herbert Asbury’s best seller of the same name. United Artists will release the picture.
