“Civilization must reaffirm the principles and ideals, the standards and hopes by which mankind has arisen out of the darkness of the past; it will not suffer itself to be drawn to the repudiation of these standards by Hitlerism,” declared Rabbi Stephen S. Wise in an address before the largest turn-out of the Passaic Rotary club.
Rabbi Wise spoke here in refutation to a speaker who presented the German angle of the plight of German-Jewry.
