President Debbas of the Lebanese Republic, which as part of Syria is administered under a French mandate, today issued a statement that all Jews legally entering Lebanon are welcome to buy as much land as they want but not along the Palestine frontier.

The president stated that the French High Commissioner objects only to acquisition of land by Jews when it is along the border.
