American Traditions Will Protect Jewry, Says B’nai B’rith Head

truth-clear and unvarnished-is the Jew’s best answer to his attackers. Every anti-Semitic lie must be nailed by an organized Jewry ready to combat every slur with a campaign or education. If American Jews do not make the mistake of their German brethren by ignoring anti-Semitic attacks the inherent liberalism of the American people and the American tradition of equal rights, free speech and liberty will protect us from Hitlerite tactics aimed at making the Jew a scapegoat.”

This was the message delivered by Monroe Friedman, Grand President of B’nai B’rith District No. 4, to more than 600 persons at a meeting at Temple Center.
