Alfred Shemanski, University of Washington’s only Jewish regent, Seattle Community Fund head and secretary of Temple de Hirsch, will lead a United Jewish Appeal campaign in which Seattle Jewry will be asked to give $15,000 for relief of German Jewish refugees, it was announced today.

The drive will begin May 20 and continue for a week. ORT and HIAS will also benefit.
