Belgian authorities have arrested a number of German Jewish refugees who have accepted employment or have engaged in trading, the Belgian committee for the refugees reported today. Arrests of the refugees, most of whom are Polish subjects or Staatenlose, without citizenship rights anywhere, are increasing daily, the committee stated, adding that the refugees are being deported at once.

The committee reported that its funds are nearing exhaustion and that the work of aiding the refugees is made increasingly difficult by the stern attitude of the Belgian authorities.
