Several thousand years after the death of King David the Atlanta Jewish community has decided to honor his memory.

Memorial exercises for him were held here today during the Shabuoth observance sponsored by the Free Loan Society at the Ahavath Achim Synagogue.

Psalms of David were recited and fourteen large tapers were lighted in his memory. Participation in the candle-lighting ceremony, regarded as a sacred privilege, was secured by donations to the Society. Rabbi Harry H. Epstein spoke at the service.
