The fifteenth anniversary of the founding of Jewish secular schools in Poland was celebrated last night at Beethoven Hall, 210 East Fifth Street. Representatives of the Workmen’s Circle (Arbeiter Ring) and other Jewish unions, together with the Peretz Writers’ Club, the Federation of Polish Jews in America and representatives of all types of Jewish secular schools and cultural institutions in New York were present.
Speakers included: Dr. Chaim Zhitlovsky; S. H. Niger; Zivision, a columnist for the Jewish Daily Forward; S. Mendelsohn; Chaim Kazhdan, delegate of the Polish schools; Joseph Weinberg; president of the Arbeiter Ring, and J. Baskin, general secretary of the organization.
B. Charney Vladeck, manager of the Forward, acted as toastmaster.
