A banquet and Palestinian evening will be held Sunday at Hotel Edison for the benefit of the Mizrachi Palestine Fund. Proceeds will go toward the maintenance of Mizrachi schools in Palestine.
Cover charge has been set by the Mizrachi Organization at eighteen dollars, symbolic of word “chai” which means “to live” in Hebrew, as well as the number eighteen.
Members of the banquet committee include Rabbi M. S. Margolies, Rabbi Wolf Gold, Rabbi Jacob Levinson, Harry Fischel, Hirsch Manischewitz, Bernard Bernstein, Morris Asinof, M. Nadler, Harris L. Selig, Isidore Epstein, William Fineberg, Oscar Fensterheim, Lazarus Joseph, Moses H. Hoenig, Albert Sokolski, John Kaufman, Jacob Kestenbaum, Fred Margereten, Samuel Minskoff, Max S. Rosenfeld, H. I. Socolow and William Weintraub.
