$67,000 is Pledged for Jewish Appeal As Mcdonald Speaks

With $67,000 pledged at a dinar at which Refugee High Commissioner James G. McDonald was the principal speaker, seconded by Rabbi Solomon B. Freeh of, a drive began here today to raise $100,000, of which a minimum of eighty percent has been designated for the United Jewish Appeal.

The Pittsburgh campaign, the success of which has been virtually guaranteed by the gratifying response at the opening dinner, is headed by Leo Lehman. Leon Falk Jr., is associate chairman. Charles Rosenbloom is treasurer and Mrs. L. Reizenstein heads the women’s division.
