Alexander Pavolvski, author, publisher and former municipal official, was buried here on May 10.
Pavlovski was 69. He was among the first settlers to come here from Russia, where he was born at Rostov-on-Don. Pavolovski founded the local Russian newspaper Navy Mir, which he edited for a number of years and for which he also wrote.
Among the official posts he held were those of administrator of the zoological gardens here and of general traffic director. For a time he also served as municipal inspector.

Pavolvski was a senior member of the “Circulo de la Prensea,” which was represented at his funeral.
