Interest was aroused in local Jewish circles today by the remarks made by the Rev. Dr. Noramn B. Nash of Cambridge Theological Seminary to the effect that if American Fascism ever gains a foothold, it will prove as ruthless as the German form.

“In the Nazi movement we see a neo-paganism which would have us substitute Caesar for Christ,” Dr. Nash declared at yesterday’s session of Liberal Evangelicals, a national organization of Protestant Episcopal clergy and laymen.

In discussing Dr. Nash’s paper, the Rev. Dr. J. Howard Melish of Holy Trinity Church, Brooklyn, said spiritual forces are being exerted in the world through Russian Communist leaders, in spite of their avowed atheism.
