As a sequel to the violent press campaign being carried on by German newspapers against the Woolworth stores in Germany, crowds smashed the windows of these stores in Kassel, it was learned today.
The window smashing was preceded by hostile demonstrations against the stores, which the press in Germany says belong to Jews.
In refutation of the editorial asserting that the American Woolworth stores have stopped buying German goods, the Woolworth shops in Germany are advertising that they are “Aryan” institutions, independent of the Woolworth establishments in New York.
