Lord Mayor Libel of Nuremberg today announced that the term “Christian shop” would no longer be permitted in description of a non-Jewish enterprise. The only description to be allowed he declared, is that of “German shops.”

A baptized Jew, he explained, remains a Jew and can never be a Christian.
