Fierce bodily attacks on Jews against whom they bear a racial grudge are being executed here in the death of night by Nara anti-Semitic hoodlums instead of in the daylight as formerly. Police intervention has apparently not has the slightest effect on them.
Six persons of both sexes and all ages were seriously injured last night in Warsaw alone when a mob stealthily made its way into Jewish sections. they were armed with daggers, “knuckle dusters,” truncheons and other dangerous weapons. In the quarter known as the Neue Welt section, near the Cafe Italia, police thwarted a mob bent upon destruction. One arrest was made.
It was disclosed today that the story behind a proclamation cautioning the Jewish populace against becoming panicky issued by the Jewish press here, was a wild rumor that poisoned candy was being offered Jewish children roaming about the streets. the Naras were blamed, and Jewish families grew terror-stricken over the possible fate of their children.
