Detroit Youth Wins Rockefeller Award for Study in Holland

Word was received here today by Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Freeman that their son, always Vernon Freeman, 23, has been awarded two fellowships for the study of international law at the Hague, Holland, The awards, valued at $1,100. are made by the Rockefeller Foundation for the study of the subject “Denial of Justice in International Law.”

Freeman is now completing his first year’s work at Geneva, Switzerland, on fellowship won during his last year at Harvard Law School. The present award gives a summer fellowship at the Academy of International Law in The Hague.
