Fed. Women Raise $11,000 in Drive

The Women’s Division of the Brooklyn Federation of Jewish Charities has raised $11,000 of its $15,000 quota in the Federation’s $500,000 twenty-fifth anniversary campaign, it is announced by Mrs. Clarence G. Bechrach, presidents of the division.

The campaign is being conducted under the chairmanship of County Judge Algeron I. Nova to secure fund sufficient to meet this year’s budgetary necessities of the twenty-five affiliated societies.

Mrs. Nathan L. Goldstein made known that the roll call of which she is chairman in the division’s endeavor in support of the Federation drive, has brought into far about $4,000. The roll call will continue through Thursday.

Federation Day will be observed Thursday, with several hundred volunteers participating. Harry Zeitz is chairman for the day, which will begin with breakfast a the St. George Hotel at 8:45 and end with a dinner report meeting at the Unity Club, Bedford avenue and Dean street, at 6:30, when the result of the day’s efforts will be announced, together with the final report on the roll call.

COLLEGE YOUTH MEET TONIGHT

The College Youth Division of the American Jewish Congress will meet tonight at the Free Synagogue, 40 West Sixty-eighth street, at 8 o’clock. Moses Plotkin will speak on “Problems of the Jewish Student.”
