“Don’t Worry so much about anti-Semitism! Just worry about Semitism!”-Rabbi Edward Sandrow, Portland conservative spiritual leader.

“Jewish mothers should refuse to bear children unless those children are guaranteed against the butcheries of war.” -Dr. Alexander Goldenweiser of Reed College.

“Many of the problems of the Jewish people today are brought on by their own indifference to Judaism.” Mrs. M. C. Sloss of San Francisco, president, Western Interstate Conference, Council of Jewish Women.

These words still ring in the ears of Seattle delegates to the Western conference of the Council of Jewish Women as they returned from the three-day Portland sessions.
