Dr. H. Pereira Mendes, Rabbi Emeritus of Shearith Israel Congregation of New York, has been a guest of Atlantic City Jewish leaders for the past two weeks.
He was tendered a reception by the Beth Judah congregation here and introduced by Rabbi David Seligson as “the spirit to whom Beth Judah owes its original inspiration.”
