Dr. Brodetsky said the question of temporary employment was settled three years ago. Experience has taught, he stated, that every ten dunams of land used in orange raising require at least one worker on a permanent basis. The industrial development of the country, he said, as well a building construction will provide employment for a large number of individuals for a long time to come.
In connection with an ordinance prohibiting picketing of employers who use non-Jewish help, passed a few weeks ago by the Palestine government, Dr. Brodetsky said authorities are mistaken if they think the ordinance has served as a quietus for the situation. It has caused much bitterness, he added.
