Achimeier declared that the Brith Biryonim, the alleged terrorist organization, did not exist but that there was a group of Revisionists believing in the maximum Zionist program whose purpose it was to fight Marxism among Jewish youth and also within Zionism.

He declared he was opposed to the use of terroristic methods but admitted, however, that he had organized demonstrations on the occasions of visits to Palestine of Norman Bentwich, former Attorney General of Palestine, and Dr. Drummond Shiels, under secretary for colonies.

The seven defendants in the case were among the twenty-three arrested in country-wide raids last July following the murder of Dr. Arlosoroff. The others were freed in the course of preliminary hearings.
