Sir Herbert Samuel, accompanied by Lady Samuel, today left Jerusalem to return to England after his first protracted visit in this country since he served as first British High Commissioner of the country.
While in Palestine, Sir Herbert conferred with Jewish and Arab leaders and also with the Emir Abdullah of Transjordania prior to the latter’s departure for London. During the course of his visit he inspected many of the Jewish settlements and expressed gratification at the strides made in the development of the country in recent years.
