The Greater New York Committee, at a meeting yesterday at its office, 3 East Sixty-fifth street, urged Jews to affiliate with the organized synagogue. The following is an excerpt from a resolution which was adopted:

“We the representatives of the Greater New York Committee of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations call upon every Jew in these days of stress and misunderstanding to rally to the synagogue as a central agency in the defense against current anti-Semitism and against the attack upon humanitarian values.

“We believe we can best fortify Jewish morale and furnish the most effective answer to misrepresentation and prejudice by means of a vital and constructive religious life.

“We therefore urge every Jew to enroll in the synagogue of his choice, and generously to support its program of Jewish religious idealism.”
