The Italian Legation has requested that the Budapest Jewish cultural organization introduce Italian as an obligatory subject in the curriculums of Jewish schools.
The legation pointed out that owing to the working of the numerus clausus an increasing number of Jewish scholars are studying in Italian universities. New regulations have been issued stating that only students who know the language will be admitted to courses, making Italian courses in Jewish secondary schools advisable.
