The Jews in Austria are being subjected to a Nazi terrorist campaign which has taken the form of the most dangerous sort of violence. A series of bomb explosions causing considerable damage was reported by Jewish merchants but the reports were suppressed in the Austrian press.

Accompanying the Nazi campaign is an increasing tendency on the part of the government circles to adopt tactics decidedly unfavorable to the Jews.

One report of an explosion in the large Schiffman store, headed by Max Schiffman, also president of the Hakoah organization, was suppressed in the Austrian press.

Likewise the news of an explosion which partly wrecked a Hebrew bookshop in the Belf neighborhood of Vienna, and another in the main synagogue here, was censored.
