“Putzy” Hanfstaengl today appeared at the Harvard class of 09 reunion wearing a new hat, following the mysterious disappearance of his old fedora, which is believed to be resting in the collection of some of Nazi souvenirs and other animal trophies. It could not be learned whether the new chapeau was the size of the kidnaped katy, which was reported to be somewhere around an eight.

Some wags would have it that Hanfstaengl’s head size has diminished since his departure from Germany.

“Putzy” yesterday marched in the reunion parade side by side with Max L. Pinanski of Portland, Me., who came down to march with his class in the stadium. Pinanski, a Jew, is a Republican candidate for the Senate. Two of Hanfstaengl’s bodyguards from the state troopers, Benjamin F. Goodman and William Goulston, also are Jews.

“Putzy’s” comrades took great pleasure in stuffing the man mountain’s mouth, ears and collar with confetti during the traditional confetti fight yesterday, which made Hitler’s No. 1 man exclaim, “This is one of the happiest days I have had in years.”

He played the piano for his classmates during the evening.
