For the first time in the history of the trade, diamonds are to be brought to Detroit directly from the cutters in Cape Town, Kimberley, Johannesburg and Pretoria.

The purchaser is S. F. Sallan, president of the Sallan, Inc., who has established an office in Kimberley. His son, Raymond B. Sallan, will leave Saturday via Gibraltar and Cape Town to take charge there.
