Establishment of an American Jewish university was voted down by judges of the debating contest sponsored by Brith Sholom at its convention here.
On the question, “Resolved, that a Jewish university, similar to other denominational schools, he established in the United States,” the decision was given to the negative team. Its members were Charles G. Eisen, chairman, Beryl Price, Irving R. Shull and Joseph M. Lissy, all from Sol. C. Kraus Lodge, Philadelphia. The affirmative team comprised Morton A. Seidenfeld, chairman, Max M. Goldstein and Herman Toll, all of Samuel I. Vogelson Lodge, Philadelphia.
Judges were Frank A. Simons and Alex F. Stanton, Philadelphia, and Joseph Fishberg, Trenton.
