Samuel Gitlin, head of a kosher meat concern, was held Wednesday on $200 bail for Special Sessions charged with selling falsely labeled meat.

George Ringler, a supervisor for the State Department of Agriculture and Markets, testified before Magistrate Jonah J. Goldstein in Jefferson Market Court that he saw one of Gitlin’s trucks deliver four unmarked barrels of meat trimmings from a non-kosher merchant to the Gitlin plant.
