Meyer Kersenovitch, a Jewish merchant, complained today to the police that four uniformed members of the Fascist organization, “Accion Revolucionaria Mexicana,” abducted him and held him captive for two hours.

According to Kersenovitch’s story, the four Fascists, known as Golden Shirts, entered his store and took him to headquarters of the organization, where he was given brutal handling in an unsuccessful effort to force him to sign several documents laid before him.

When Kersenovitch refused to obey, he said, he was held for a “trial” while the hoodlums sought to extort money from him by a threat to denounce him to the immigration authorities with a view to procuring his deportation.

Kersenovitch stood firm against these efforts and was locked in a room, where he was detained two hours and then released. Upon his liberation the merchant filed his complaint.
