Ohab Zadek Holds ‘pioneer Service’

An unusual memorial service in honor of the pioneers who raised and distributed more than $100,000,000 for the relief of Jews suffering through the war will be held this evening at the synagogue of the First Hungarian Congregation, Ohab Zadek, 18 West 116th street.

The meeting is sponsored by the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America and will have as its chairman William Weiss. The memorial service will be conducted by Rev. Pinchus Jassinowsky, chairman of the Jewish Ministers-Cantors Association of America, assisted by a group of cantors.

Others participating in the service include Rabbi William Margolis; Max S. Rosenfeld, president of the Congregation; Rabbi Alexander S. Rosenberg, chairman of the religious reconstruction fund committee; Rabbi Jechiel M. Charlop; Rabbi Joseph H. Lookstein, vice-chairman of the religious reconstruction fund committee, and Moritz Neuman, honorary president of the Congregation.
