Chicagoan Urges U.S. Women to Protest Against Hitlerism

Download PDF for this date

Because Hitler has assumed presidential powers in Germany, it is essential that the free, independent, thinking, peace-loving women of America must act to protest the spread of so outrageous and sinister a power, Miss Harriet E. Vittum, chairman of the women’s division of the Chicago Committee for the Defense of Human Relations, declared in a speech here. To further this protest, she urged her hearers to increase their boycott activities against German-made goods.
