A check-up of the opening of the Fall term of the public schools in both Minneapolis and St. Paul revealed the fact that the educational institutions in both cities will resume work on September 10—the first day of Rosh Hashonah.

A group of interested persons called the attention of school authorities in both cities to the fact that the opening date coincides with the first day of the Jewish New Year. However, they received polite regrets and the matter was ended, so far as the authorities were concerned.
