The Board of Directors of the National Council of Jewish Women voted yesterday to ally itself with religious bodies working toward the elimination of objectionable films.

Mrs. Arthur Brin, national president of the Council, declared this action means the pledge of 40,000 members of the 200 sections of the body throughout the country to aid Protestant, Catholic and Jewish religious organizations in the fight for clean movies.

Dr. Sidney E. Goldstein, Jewish member of the Inter-Faith Committee, said upon hearing of this action that “the Jewish members of the Inter-Faith Committee feel greatly encouraged in learning that they have the support of the members of the National Council of Jewish Women in the crusade against indecency and obscenity upon the screen.”
