The present trend in government is toward a United States of the World, according to Dr. Julian Morgenstern, head of the Hebrew Union College of Cincinnati.

Dr. Morgenstern pointed out that similar lines have been followed in the British Empire since the World War, so much that it “actually ceased to be an empire and became a federation of British dominions.” He declared the war ended the age of building of such huge dominations.

Fascism, Dr. Morgenstern believed, is a reaction against the trend of federated states, “an experiment from the past. Both this and Russia’s experiment which looks to the future will lead to another World War if carried further.

“Both of these systems concentrate on competition—on the one hand with races, and on the other with classes.”

The Hebrew Union College is considered an outstanding liberal Rabbinical seminary, and the visit of Dr. Morgenstern as a summer vacationer here has aroused strong interest and tribute among local Jewish residents.
