Arabs and Jews Clash in Morocco

Clashes between Jews and Arabs in Oujda, Morocco, occurred today, according to reports received here. However, the disorders were of brief duration with no casualties on either side. Police succeeded in restoring order immediately, according to the reports.

In view of the recent events in Constantine, Algeria, during which at least twenty-seven Jews and Arabs lost their lives, authorities are taking the strongest precautions to avoid a similar outbreak in Morocco.

The pogrom in Constantine was followed by a renewal of Arab agitation against the Jews all over Northern Africa. Jewish communities in both Algeria and Morocco have informed French authorities
