A numerus clausus for German Jewish students applying for admission to Prussian trade schools was announced today by Bernhardt Rust, Prussian Minister of Education. According to the terms of the order only one and one-half per cent of the total enrollment in the trade schools may be Jewish.

This limitation does not, however, apply to foreign Jewish students, it was announced. Recently the Nazi government and various Nazi agencies made efforts to encourage foreign Jews to come to Germany as tourists, students and also to the German health and vacation resorts. In every case it was made plain, however, that restrictions against German Jews would not be relaxed and they are not welcome, although foreign Jews were.
