George M. Cohan Writes New Song for Refugees

George M. Cohan is writing a new song called “Night of Stars,” dedicated to the Jewish refugees from Germany, which he will sing as the theme song of the musical show, “Night of Stars,” at the Yankee Stadium on September 20, it was announced yesterday by the amusement division of the United Jewish Appeal, the production’s sponsors.

A brass band of 300 men, led by Edwin Franko Goldman, will play the new composition at the Stadium performance, stated Louis K. Sidney, chairman of the program committee comprising more than 300 stage, screen, radio and opera artists who are making the show their contribution to the German Jewish relief fund.
