Funeral services for Leon Blank, Yiddish actor, were held Sunday in the Sigmund Schwartz Funeral Chapel, 312 East Fifth street, and at the Hebrew Actors Union headquarters, 31 East Seventh street.

About 10,000 mourners, including theatrical colleagues and admirers from all parts of the city, followed the funeral cortege. Interment was in the Jewish Theatrical Alliance’s plot in Mount Hebron Cemetery.

Blank died Saturday in his home. 28 East Tenth street, following a prolonged illness. He was in his sixty-seventh year. With the retirement of Boris Thomashefsky several years ago, Blank became the last active veteran of the original Yiddish theatre company, which was organized in the United States almost a half century ago.
