Greek consuls in Turkey today received instructions from their government not to issue visas for Turkish Jews desiring to travel in Greece. Other Jews may, however, obtain visas without restrictions.
Hundreds of Turkish Jewish refugees, penniless and homeless, are now in Salonica, where they have become a burden on the Jewish community and the local authorities. The Greek government apparently desires to guard against an influx of Turkish Jewish refugees.
