Panic broke out in the synagogue in Xanthe, when local anti-Semites carried out an attack during services yesterday. Women in the gallery screamed when stones were thrown through the windows of the synagogue, smashing every pane. The anti-Semitic band escaped. Police arrived on the scene too late to capture the hooligans.
