Anger characterized the tone which French newspapers adopted toward the sensational Polish declaration on minority treaties in Geneva.

Le Temps, official government organ, declared: “If any government can at any moment withdraw from international obligations, then what will happen to treaties? Where is the League going? Where is the world going?

Le Journal said: “The Polish declaration demonstrates how great is the gap between France and Poland.”
