ster of Education to intervene in the matter of preserving the rights of Jews in the field of education, it was announced yesterday.

Point was lent to the situation by the declaration in the semi-official Gazeta Polske yesterday, which asserted that no arguments will persuade Poland even to modify her attitude with respect to the minorities issue. The paper emphasized that Beck’s declaration was phrased after mature reflection.

A sidelight to the entire affair, drawn in contrasting colors, came yesterday when all Poland flew flags in celebration of Beck’s Geneva proclamation, while at the same time the Jewish newspaper Nasz Prszegland appeared on the streets in heavily censored form.
